Scope of Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support for the Warehouse/Safety Manager
• Responsible for customer liaison and close working relationship with warehouse operations
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Master Scheduler and Material Planner for all of our plants
• Develop LS systems to meet customer requirements
• Establish and maintain a pro-active role in the development of the warehouse department
• Develop and report on warehouse metrics to management or customers as required

Key Duties:

• Develop and improve paperwork and computer based systems that support our shipping and receiving system
• Drive the daily diagnostics of inventory, and root causes of errors
• Ensure any change in inventory status is acted upon in a timely manner so as to ensure products shipped are correct, i.e. engineering change levels
• Follow a schedule to ensure cycle counts are performed on a monthly basis for all materials, components, and finished goods
• Provide cycle count variances to the Warehouse/Safety Manager, to ensure the MRP system is kept up to date
• Participate in physical inventory counts at year end, and as otherwise scheduled
• Assist all areas of the company in order entry including the coordination of carriers, paperwork preparation, customs, and related considerations
• Routinely seek the advice of your peers and actively participate in projects that will advance the company in general

Education Required:

• College Diploma in a business related program
• PMAC courses (an asset)
• APICS membership (an asset)

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years of Customer service experience is required
• Inventory control experience an asset
• EDI experience is required
• MRP experience is required
• Automotive background
• Computer literate in Word processing and spreadsheets at an intermediate level
• Production scheduling experience an asset
