To be a high performance organization in a rapidly changing environment, we must "invest" in the training of our Associates. Associates must be treated as assets to be developed. This must be done in a planned, structured and ongoing basis adhering to the principle "if you don't train you won't gain!". Lakeside is proud of our commitment to continuous improvement through our Continuous Improvement Centre (CIC).

Even when we do not have a position open, we encourage anyone who is interested to send an application. All applications are retained for a period of 6 months.


Paperless

Paper

The Human Resources department has adopted a new paperless information system for record-keeping and recruitment purposes. Employee files, manuals, regulations, applications, and all other pertinent information are stored securely without ever having to be printed.

Not only does this maintain the security and integrity of our information, but it also allows us to streamline our processes and share information faster than ever before. Should you have the opportunity to attend an interview at our facility, you will note that the entire process is conducted without using a single piece of paper.

In addition to the other benefits of this system, going paperless has allowed us to continue our commitment to preserve the environment. In the first 5 months of this program alone, we were able to eliminate over 600 pounds of waste paper!
